What is a tension fabric structure?A tension fabric structure is built using a tension membrane roof supported by metal framing. For enclosed buildings, straight side walls are used to support the roof framing. The roof’s tension fabric structure features an overhang at the eaves to direct rain, and snow run-off away from the sidewalls. The tension fabric structure consists of a white translucent roof membrane with an acrylic topcoat cladding. It projects against ultra-violet rays, and it’s mildew-resistant and fire retardant. Our tension fabric structure designs also incorporate insulation and acoustic dampening features. A tension fabric structure offers many benefits over traditional structures. It allows natural light in and offers excellent ventilation. A tension fabric structure from ASFI is faster to build, and it costs a fraction of what you’d pay for traditional construction.
