Bernard Coyle Accepts CEO Position at ASFICoyle brings extensive management, operations and marketing experience to growing company OCALA, FLA. (June 20, 2008) – American Spaceframe Fabricators International (ASFI) today announced Bernard Coyle has accepted the position of chief executive officer (CEO). An independent consultant and senior advisor to ASFI’s leadership team for nearly two years, Coyle has been serving as the company’s acting chief operating officer (COO) since September 2007. The transition of responsibilities to Coyle from interim CEO Dr. Volkan Kebeli will begin immediately. Coyle will continue to serve as COO throughout the transition until a new COO has been found. An expert on lean business operations, Coyle will focus his efforts on increasing manufacturing efficiency and ensuring ASFI continues to meet projected sales growth. “ASFI has enormous potential. Our work throughout the past two years has put us in a great position for continued growth,” said Bernard Coyle, CEO for ASFI. “I am honored to accept this position and look forward to using my manufacturing and management experience to expand ASFI’s footprint in the coming months.” Through his consulting relationship with ASFI, Coyle gained first-hand knowledge of the company and its customers from his involvement in the management of a number of significant projects including ASFI’s most recent amphitheater projects – Verizon Wireless in Atlanta, Ga., and the Aurora University Amphitheater in Lake, Geneva, Wis. Additionally, Coyle was actively involved in operations and management strategy, and implementation through ASFI’s most dramatic growth period from 2006 to 2008. An expert on lean business operations and member of the Global Lean and Six Sigma Network, Coyle began his independent consulting firm in 2002. Since then, he has advised a variety of manufacturing companies on improving people, products, processes and profits within client organizations. Prior to starting his own consulting practice, Coyle was vice president at the Publicis Groupe, S.A., The Medical Phone Company (Nelson Communications Worldwide). Earlier in his career, Coyle served as the COO and chief financial officer at United Chemical Technologies Inc. and as the corporate vice president of operations for Axsys Technology Inc. (formerly Vernitron Corporation). Coyle holds an engineering degree in process metallurgy from Stanford University.
